After a partial restart from 20 April, Germany is moving towards an almost general reopening of activities, all shops will also gradually open, shopping and sports centers and even trade fairs.

And it is in particular the reopening of the latter that is also hailed as a good sign by the events sector.

These and other measures announced on 6 May by Chancellor Merkel during a press conference.

Major events are prohibited until 31 August

For now, the ban remains in Germany too, at least until the 31 August, for big events, popular festivals and concerts. This implies great uncertainty for some of the festivals whose participation by Germans - and traditionally also by tourists - is always very much felt.. Among these also the famous Oktober Fest in Munich, which has been canceled.

Chancellor Merkel also announced that she had asked the Minister of Culture and Communication and the Ministers of Education and Culture of the federal states to present a strategy for the reopening of theaters soon., cinema and location for events and concerts.
